Glacier Training!

Two weeks ago CNEPH finished its first of two summer glacier training camps. It was sure nice to get back skiing on snow for while. Our team focuses on long zone1 skis and technique, speed work or intensities. Other than skiing, there isn't a whole lot to do on the glacier, except the occasional game of disk golf. Team CNEPH went up this year with part of the Callaghan Valley Training Center, which was nice for me because three members of the Callaghan team this year are from my hometown ski club, WCCSC (Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club). At the beginning of the week I was feeling and little tired which made me a bit worried, but as the week progressed I started to feel better and better, and at the end of the week I was feeling in pretty good shape. I ended up training 25 hours during the week up on the glacier which is a pretty solid week of training. I'm now back home in Whitehorse, YT, for 8 days, then I go back to Quebec for another training camp in Malbie, Quebec, with the CNEPH team.
