So after a long 9.5 hour flight that seemed to take a lifetime from Munich, Germany back to Chicago, then another 2.5 hour flight to Quebec, I’m finally back in Canada. The second block of training in Ramsau, Austria was pretty good. The skiing conditions stayed about the same as they had been for our first week on the Dachstein; not super good, but good enough. There seemed to a ridiculous amount of people on the glacier each day, hundreds of people, which could get frustrating at times, skiing on a small track with so many people means you have to get out of the track quite often to pass slower skiers. Partway through the last block we did a set of 30sec ski bounding intervals for a good intensity workout. Our last day in Europe we drove from Ramsau to Munich to spend the night, because our flight left from Munich the next morning. We got to tour around Munich a little bit, relax and sample some local beers on our last night which was fun. Now I’m back in Quebec until the racing season starts at the end on November.
