first races of the season

Last week in silverstar we had the first Canada Cup/NorAm races of the year. Usually I struggle in my races at this time of the season because I'm not yet in very good race shape, but this year my races were surprisingly good. They weren't the best races of my life but for this time of the season they were very good for me. We raced a 15km skate race in which I finished 8th Canadian in the Open Men category, and a skate sprint were I ended up qualifying in 15th and ended up 17th canadian. In the distance race we did I ended up qualifying for the World Cup races later this season in Canmore which is pretty fun! The day after the last race we headed over to Canmore to prepare for two Olympic qualifying sprint races we have this weekend.
