Well, the first race at the Canadian Nationals are done with. The Team Sprint was yesterday. I paired up with Ray Sabo, a good friend from Whitehorse who now skis for the University of Fairbanks to make a pretty solid team. We advanced through to our semifinal without too much difficulty and felt in good shape for the Final. I felt really strong and had good skis and we got off to a good start but on the last of three laps we fell a bit behind. I managed to bring us up from 6th to 4th on my last lap but I needed another 100m to catch up to 3rd and challenged for the bronze. But all in all it was still a good day gives me confidence going into tomorrow's 10km classic race. Here are two pictures of me taken by Dave Gonda.

Leading the field on my first lap.

Heading into the exchanged zone on my second lap.
